Shipment Guard: Supply Chain Security Evaluation Solution
Shipment Guard is a supply chain security evaluation solution designed to assist any party within the supply chain to complete a security evaluation. Shipment Guard is question driven, flexible and adaptable and can be provided in multiple languages. Shipment Guard is designed primarily as a validation tool for the second step in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) process. Shipment Guard offers the importer the ability to perform risk assessments in all areas of the world, particularly in those areas of high risk. Other participants in the import supply chain that apply for C-TPAT membership can also use the Shipment Guard security evaluation tool.
Shipment Guard permits the C-TPAT importer to customize the validation questionnaires to align with a specific business and specific supply chains. Questionnaires can be assembled for each participant in the supply chain and placed on the web with an assigned user name and password for each participant.

Shipment Guard provides an efficient, focused security evaluation by applying a logical, shipment flow approach. Participants are queried on each aspect of their segment of the supply chain. Questions follow the C-TPAT sections for each category in the importer’s supply chain.
Shipment Guard allows the importer seeking C-TPAT membership or validation to obtain comprehensive information from multiple vendors and service providers with the self-assessment approach.
The Shipment Guard process can be used equally for overseas imports as well as in cross-border trade with NAFTA partners Canada and Mexico. C-TPAT membership benefits include faster border crossings using Free And Secure Trade (FAST).
